Willkommen beim Basketball Osterturnier Wien – dem Event für Basketball-Enthusiasten und Sportbegeisterte!

Mehr als 5000 Spielerinnen und Spieler sowie rund 1.000 Coaches und Betreuer matchen sich jährlich zu Ostern in 1750 Spielen in 35 Wiener Sporthallen und der Wiener Stadthalle. Insgesamt 500 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sorgen für einen optimalen Ablauf des Events.

Das Osterturnier bringt seit über 30 Jahren Teams aus aller Welt zusammen, um sich in packenden Spielen auf höchstem Niveau zu messen. Mit einer Mischung aus akribisch geplanten Vorbereitungen und einer großartigen Atmosphäre bieten wir ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für Spieler, Zuschauer und die gesamte Basketball-Community.
Altersklassen
Das Turnier bietet für Mädchen und Burschen je sechs Altersklassen, von den talentierten Jugendspielern (U12) bis hin zu (Fast-)Profis (U20). Bei den spannenden Wettkämpfen stehen Teamgeist, Wettkampfgeist und sportliche Leistung im Mittelpunkt stehen.

Entertainment- und Erlebnisfaktor stehen beim Osterturnier ebenfalls hoch im Kurs. Atemberaubende Slam Dunks, präzise Dreipunktewürfe, Dribbelkünste bei den abendlichen Sideevents genießen oder die Turnieratmosphäre beim Grand Opening, im Coachpub, beim Abschluß-Clubbing inhalieren. Das Basketball Osterturnier ist mehr als nur ein sportliches Ereignis – es ist der Ort, an dem Freundschaften geschlossen werden und die Leidenschaft für den Basketballsport entfacht wird.

Alle der mehr als 1.500 Spiele werden live gestreamt, sodass Fans und Unterstützer von überall aus die actiongeladenen Wettkämpfe verfolgen können.
Autofrei und Öffifreundlich
Wir setzen auf Nachhaltigkeit und bieten allen teilnehmenden Spieler:innen und Coaches kostenfreie Nutzung öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel an. Dank unseres maßgeschneiderten Stadtplanes mit Spielstätten-Unterkunft-Matrix gelangen alle problemlos und umweltfreundlich zu den Courts.
Auszeichnungen
Unser Engagement für Umweltfreundlichkeit wurde mit einer Auszeichnung im Rahmen des Umweltpreises der Stadt Wien im Jahr 2007 gewürdigt.
Zudem wurden wir 2016 mit dem renommierten „Tournament of the Year Award“ der FIBA Europe ausgezeichnet, eine Bestätigung für die erstklassige Organisation des Turniers.

Mit dem Osterturnier 2024 werden wir Partner der FIBA für die Schiedsrichterausbildung. Wir sind stolz darauf, zum Wachstum und zur Entwicklung des Schiedsrichterwesens beizutragen und talentierte Nachwuchsschiedsrichter zu fördern.

More than 5,000 players along with around 1,000 coaches and staff compete annually during Easter in 1,750 games held in 35 sports halls in Vienna, as well as the Vienna Stadthalle. A total of 500 employees ensure the smooth running of the event.

With a combination of meticulously planned preparations and an amazing atmosphere, we offer an unforgettable experience for players, spectators, and the entire basketball community.
Age groups
The tournament offers six age groups for both girls and boys, ranging from talented youth players (U12) to (almost) professionals (U20). In these exciting competitions, the focus is on teamwork, competitive spirit, and athletic performance.

All of the more than 1.500 games will be streamed live so fans and supporters can watch the action-packed competition from anywhere.
Car-free and public transport friendly
We focus on sustainability and offer all participating players and coaches free use of public transport. Thanks to our tailor-made city map with venue-accommodation matrix, everyone can get to the courts easily and in an environmentally friendly way.
Awards
Our commitment to environmental friendliness was recognized with an award as part of the „City of Vienna’s Environmental Prize“ in 2007.
We were also awarded the prestigious „Tournament of the Year Award“ from FIBA Europe in 2016, a confirmation of the first-class organization of the tournament.
Partner of FIBA referee training
With the „Basketball Wien – Osterturnier 2024“ we will become a partner of FIBA for referee training. We are proud to contribute to the growth and development of refereeing and to support talented young referees.
